Three villagers injured

SIALKOT, May 20: Three Pakistani villagers, Muhammad Akram, and Shaukat Ali in Bajwat sector and Muhammad Ashraf in Charwa sector of Sialkot working boundary were seriously injured by Indian mortar shelling here on Monday.

According to the official sources, they were sitting in the courtyards of their houses, when the shells hit them. They were admitted to Sialkot CMH in critical condition.

As many as ten Pakistani villagers, including two women, have been martyred and more than 65 injured by Indian firing during the last 36 hours.

More than 175 houses and three mosques were also badly damaged and more than 60 head of cattle perished. The wheat crop on more than 1,000 acres has been reduced to ashes by the shelling in the two border districts, the official sources added.
