LAHORE, May 16: The amputated body of a five-year-old boy, who was kidnapped from Atif Park, Shalamar, a couple of days ago, was found from Gujjarpura on Thursday.

Police said Usman’s father Shabbir received a phone call from the kidnappers who had demanded Rs1 million the other day. The family, however, paid Rs200,000 to the kidnappers.

On Thursday, some passers-by spotted a sack along a road in the China Scheme and informed police. The body of Usman was found when the sack was opened. The body was sent to the city mortuary for autopsy.

Shabbir, who recently returned from Saudi Arabia, told police that he had no enmity with any one. DSP (investigation) concerned said they had taken some suspects into custody and were investigating.

Irshad, 25, was stabbed to death by her brother Ashraf over the suspicion of loose morals.

The bodies were sent to the city mortuary for autopsy.
