KARACHI: Registration of private candidates: date extended

KARACHI, May 7: The BIE, Karachi, on Tuesday announced that the registration of private candidates of humanities commerce groups for appearing in HSC annual examinations-2002 has been extended till May 18, with a late fee of Rs1,000.

The candidates of regular categories, whose examination forms have not been accepted due to shortage of attendance, may also submit their registration forms and difference fees of Rs 200 from May 9 to 18 provided they have already been enrolled as a regular candidates.

UNFAIR MEANS: In all, 18 candidates of HSC examinations were detected resorting to unfair-means during the first shift on Tuesday at four different examination centres. Incharge of the BIE vigilance cell Choudhary Mukhtar Ahmed said that examinations were held peacefully.

At the Islamia Arts and Commerce College centres, 11 candidates were found using unfair-means, while at Degree Science College, Lyari, five candidates were caught on account of unfair-means.

Two candidates escaped with their answer scripts at Government College North Karachi and Government Abdullah College.
