Indian soldier killed

NEW DELHI, April 23: Three people, including an Indian soldier, were killed on Monday when their jeep ran over a mine in Rajasthan.

A senior police official said the vehicle mistakenly entered the Jaisidar area, near the Pakistan border, where mines had been laid as a precautionary measure.

All three died on the spot. One of the victims was identified as a civilian, while the identity of the third person was unknown. —dpa
