‘Ex-servicemen should canvass people’

By Our Correspondent

TOBA TEK SINGH, April 20: The retired armed forces’ officials should canvass people to vote in favour of president in the referendum.

District and Services Board Secretary Nawaz Jafri urged the retired officials and welfare employees at a meeting here on Friday.

He said President Musharraf deserved support as he had pulled the country out of quagmire.

At least 500 army men would maintain peace on the referendum day.

A source said the district government had been asked to provide 11 buses and 6 trucks for the transportation of these army men.
