SUKKUR, April 1: Two persons of the same family were gunned down and two others were injured by five armed bandits in Chanesar Mirani village, near Murid Shakh, Ghotki district on Monday.

Nadir Hussain Mirani, his son, Khadim Hussain Mirani, and a six-year-old child, Saddam, were going to their fish farm from Ubaro on a motorcycle.

The bandits intercepted them near Chanesar Mirani village and tried to snatch their motorcycle. On their resistance, the bandits opened fire, killing Khadim Hussain and injuring Nadir Hussain and Saddam.

When gun shots were heard in the village, the uncle of Khadim Hussain, Nazir Ahmed, rushed to the spot and tried to chase the bandits. The bandits again opened fire and killed him.

The bandits fled from the scene.
