Female superior

NEW DELHI, March 29: A female superior slapped an insubordinate male officer so hard she put him in a southern Indian hospital in the town of Madurai.

Sub-inspector Regina Periyakaruppan slugged constable S. Vanniyan for not saluting her, causing his ear to bleed, The Asian Age daily reported.

Vanniyan claimed he did not salute his superior because she was dressed in plainclothes.—dpa
