KARACHI: BIE may extend exam date

KARACHI, March 27: The competent authority has allowed the Board of Intermediate Education, Karachi, to extend the commencement date of intermediate annual examinations by ten days, said the sources in the Sindh education department.

Now the board is at liberty to hold the HSC annual examinations from April 25, instead of April 15, a date fixed by the steering committee of the education department for the commencement of the examinations throughout the province.

The BIE was informed on Wednesday that it could delay the exams for ten days, but it would have to release the results of the examinations latest by July 31 as required by the steering committee.
