KARACHI: Seven cars, 11 bikes hijacked

KARACHI, March 19: Eighteen vehicles — seven cars and 11 motorcycles — were either hijacked or stolen in the city on Tuesday, police said.

Three cars were hijacked. Four others were stolen.

Five motorcycles were hijacked. Six others were stolen.

ACCIDENT: A young man died in a road accident on Sharea Faisal.

Police said Syed Hasan Adil, aged 26, son of a retire police officer, was run over by an unidentified vehicle while walking across the main Sharea Faisal near Natha Khan bridge. He died on the spot. Adil’s body was handed over to his father after post-mortem.

DIES OF BURNS: A man, Ikram, aged 36, died of burns in his home in Orangi Extension.
