Security tightened

ISLAMABAD, March 17: Pakistan has ordered heightened security for churches across the country after Sunday’s deadly grenade attack on a church in Islamabad’s diplomatic enclave, a senior official said.

“We have beefed up security around churches throughout Pakistan and placed security agencies on high alert,” interior secretary Tasneem Noorani told AFP. He echoed suspicions that the attack was linked to the “geo-political regional situation”.
