KARACHI, March 17: The director, Sheikh Zaid Islamic Centre, Dr Fazal Ahmad, has said extra-curricular activities play an important role in promoting talents and skills among the youths and motivate them to accept challenges of the practical life.

Speaking as chief guest at the Government Degree Science and Commerce College, Gulshan-i-Iqbal, on the occasion of a students’ week, he said such programmes help in inculcating spirit of a healthy competition.

Prof Wazir Ahmad Razzaqi stressed the importance of classroom attendance which, he said, played an important role in nurturing a good personality through interaction between students and teachers.
