KARACHI, March 1: The Congo virus, which spread panic in Islamabad a few days ago, claimed the life of a child at the National Institute of Child Health on Thursday night.
The child was brought to the Institute on Wednesday night from Landhi area in a semi-conscious condition, bleeding profusely from nose, ear, mouth and rectum.
The duty officers on Thursday morning discussed thoroughly his condition and with gradual deterioration in his health, he was shifted to the isolation ward where he breathed his last the same night.—APP
