KARACHI, Feb 21: The University of Karachi has extended the last date for submission of registration and examination forms of BA (pass), BCom first and second year courses (external) and MA previous and final annual examinations-2002 by the overseas Pakistani candidates.

According to a KU notification, the last date for submission of forms is now March 6, while the examinations would be held on March 28.

The examinations will be held at eight examination centres set up at different Pakistan Embassy schools in Jeddah, Riyadh, Bahrain, Muscat (Oman) and at different embassies of Pakistan at Abu Dhabi(UAE), Dubai consulate (UAE), Doha, Qatar, and Kuwait.

Candidates are required to pay a late fee of US$ 50, along with the registration fee of US$ 100 in the case of BA and BCom courses, and US$ 150 in the case of MA courses.

Examination fee has been fixed as US$200 for each examination.

Meanwhile, with a view to give another opportunity to overseas Pakistani nationals who had failed at the BA (pass) and BCom and MA examinations of the university, either as regular or external candidates even at the Karachi centre in the past, the KU has decided to allow such cases irrespective of the time limit.

They have been allowed to appear at the overseas examination centres of the university abroad with an additional fee of US$50, said a KU notification.
