PESHAWAR, Feb 14: NWFP Governor Syed Iftikhar Hussain Shah on Wednesday expressed the hope that the devolution of power plan to be put on ground in the Federally Administered Tribal Areas will improve the process of development in those areas.

Presiding over a meeting held at the governor’s house to discuss the plan’s implementation in Fata, he said it would facilitate the resolution of the problem and provide a sound base for the rapid development of the tribal areas.

He said that the proposed judicial system based on Jirga and tradition would expand the base of easy and cheap justice.

The governor said education should be given priority in the areas and increase of facilities for raising literacy rate among women should be taken care  of.

He said the plan would empower the tribal people to fulfil their development requirements.
