Asif pumps in three for winners

LAHORE, Feb 13: Two more matches were decided in the  Power International Basant Cup polo tournament at the Lahore Polo Club Wednesday.

Samsung Blues beat KFC Remounts 7 1/2-3 with Asif Yar Tiwana scoring three goals for the winners.

Remounts scored the only goal in first chukker through a goal by Toto Collardin, but Blues with a 1 1/2 goal handicap struck back with two goals by Asif and a goal By Samiullah in the second chukker. Toto also scored his second goal in the dying minutes of the same chukker to reduce the margin 2-4 1/2.

In the third chukker, Atif and Asif Tiwana banged home one goal each to increase the lead 6-1/2 to 2 goals.

In final chukker, Samiuallh scored his second goal for  the winners while Arslan Najib scored the consolation goal for  the losers.

In the second match three  goals by Gerado Mazzini guided Remounts to to win 7-5 1/2 goals win against Olympia Nee Punhal.

For  the winners, Ahmad Khan and Sufi Amir also scored  two goals each.

For the losers, Raja Sattar fought hard and scored three goals while Shah Shamyl Alam added one goal. One and a half  goal was the handicap of the losers.
