Land grabbers gang unearthed

DERA ISMAIL KHAN, Feb 10: A group of land grabbers was unearthed here the other day who had got agricultural lands of Muhammad Tufail Rajput of Faisalabad District transferred to their own names with the help of fake national identity cards and other relevant documents.

Tehsildar Abdur Rehman Khan informed the police authorities about the culprits, and registered a case under sections 419/420/468/471 PPC. None of the gang was arrested so far.

Muhammad Tufail son of Alam Khan Rajput of Faisalabad owned agricultural land measuring 122.8 Kanals at village Kat Kachi Paind Khan in district D.I.Khan. His land had been transferred in the name of Din Muhammad son of Guam Muhammad Rajput resident of Chak No.88, Faisalabad, vide transfer deed No.472 on Jan 16, 2001, through fake documents and NIC No 247-29-078850 showing someone else as Muhammad Tufail.

His identification at the time of transfer was confirmed by Ghulam Abbas son of Ghulam Akbar Lashari Baloch resident of village Jandi and Muhammad Amir son of Maula Dad resident of village Haji Mora, D.I.Khan.

In some other case, another forger Khushi Muhammad son of Sultan Ahmad of Chak No.203, Malikpur, Faisalabad, posing himself as Mushtaq Ahmad son of Muhammad Khan Yousufzai of Jauharabad, Khushab, through a fake NIC No. 235-32-021985 tried to get his land measuring 254.2 Kanals transferred in the name of Maqbool Khan son of Ata Khan Mahsud of village Bali Shumali who had already paid a heavy amount against the said proposed transfer.

During an enquiry, it was found out that Ghulam Abbas Lashari, Muhammad Amir, Khushi Muhammad, Din Muhammad son of Lal Din Bhatti of Chak No.202, Qaisar Ali son of Ghulam Sarwar Rajput of Chak No.213 Faisalabad and Mushtaq Ahmad son of Khair Muhammad Jat Goraya of Kot Addu, Muzzafargarh District were the members of the gang.  

They had been practising these activities for long.
