KARACHI: WHO satisfied with Sindh’s performance


KARACHI, Feb 9: The World Health Organization has expressed its satisfaction with the performance and level of commitment of Sindh province about the implementation of preventive programmes and other health-related programmes.

The WHO has expressed its pleasure with the success of the TB Control Programme, Basic Development Needs Programme (BDNP), and EPI Programme, and said the provincial government has set an example to other provinces of the country, said Dr Khalif Bile Mohamud, the WHO representative in Pakistan, in an informal exchange of views with the Sindh Secretary for Health, Dr Khalid Latif Chaudhary, in Karachi.

Dr Bile was highly appreciative of the personal involvement of the policy makers of Sindh government that had made significant progress and set an example to other provinces.—PPI
