KARACHI, Feb 7: Bahawalpur spinners Mohammad Zahid and Murtaza Hussain claimed five wickets apiece as Faisalabad made 204 in their first innings on the first day of the Quaid Trophy Grade-I clash at Bahawalpur Stadium Thursday.

According to details available here, only ex-Test man Zahoor Elahi (57) and Fida Hussain (49 not out) managed to make significant scores after Bahawalpur won the toss.

Zahid, the slow left-armer, captured five for 65 while off-spinner Murtaza finished with five for 67. Bahawalpur completed a fine day’s work by replying with 46 without loss.

Meanwhile, two matches saw no play at all Thursday because of rain in Sialkot and Sargodha respectively.

Peshawar, the Group-II leaders, are pitted against Sialkot at Jinnah Stadium while Sargodha are playing against Rest of Balochistan at Sports Stadium
