KARACHI, Feb 1: Shell Petroleum Company Limited, UK, has invested $22.3 million in Shell Pakistan Limited (SPL) by purchasing additional shares.
In a statement, SPL said that the transaction was finalized on Friday.
The company reiterates its continued confidence in Pakistan’s economic progress and supports government’s policies in the oil and gas sector, SPL said.
Shell is also the second largest equity holder in the $480 million White Oil Pipeline Project. The present development is a step further in Shell’s commitment in expanding its investment portfolio in Pakistan.
