LAHORE, Jan 29: The bay Blu’s Wendy can make amends for his defeat last time out by going flat out to win the feature event of the midweek Lahore Gymkhana races at the Racecourse Wednesday.

This five-year-old horse Blu’s Wendy was defeated in his previous outing by Gold Champion on Jan 13 in a race run over six furlongs. Blu’s Wendy is well-placed in the handicap carrying seven stones 11 pounds in the Mohlanwal Plate class VII division III & IV combined handicap race. This will be the sixth and last race in racing order. Like the feature event, all races will be contested over the sprinting distance of six furlongs.

Among the eleven contestants, those likely to give Blu’s Wendy, a tough fight are: chestnut gelding Aao Payar Se, roan colt Puma Star and bay mare Four Aces.

A competitive card of six events will be down for decision in the afternoon.

The fields for the events comprise 14 to 17 horses in each race. There are at least five or more chance horses in each event which make the winner picking a difficult task for the punters.

The first race will start at 12.00 noon.
