KAMPALA, Jan 22: Ugandan police have arrested two Pakistanis after they were found to have been carrying a total of 700 grams of heroin in their stomachs, a spokesman said on Tuesday

The two were detained at Entebbe Airport on Friday by police who suspected them of being drug traffickers, police spokesman John Kimera said.

They were found to have swallowed 70 heroin pellets wrapped in latex containers.

Kimera gave their names as Wassen Ejaz and Ashiq Hussain, saying that both had arrived in Uganda aboard a flight from Lahore.—AFP
