Psychiatric conference concludes

BAHAWALPUR, Jan 22: The 14th national psychiatric conference concluded at the Quaid-i-Azam Medical College Auditorium on Tuesday.

College chief executive Prof Dr Maj Muhammad Amin (retired) who was the chief guest on the occasion, stressed the need to create awareness about the psychiatric and mental diseases by holding such conferences.

Organizing committee chairman Dr Niaz Maqsood, who is the head of psychiatric department of the QMC, and office-bearers of the Pakistan Psychiatric Society also spoke on the occasion.

ANTI-ENCROACHMENT DRIVE: The tehsil council on Tuesday launched anti-encroachment operation in the city. In the first phase, illegal constructions, structures in front of shops in Shahi Bazaar were removed.
