Students crab over delay in ID cards

By Our Correspondent

SARGODHA, Jan 20: Scores of students on Sunday voiced concern over delay in issuance of the computerized National Identity Cards (NICs).

They complained National Database and Registration Authority (Nadra) Assistant Registrar Abdul Majeed, who had been appointed to deal with complainants, allegedly refused to accept forms from them. They said the official referred them to his agents who demanded Rs500 to Rs2,000 per card.

The students urged the authorities concerned they should be provided cards without delay as they had to submit their annual examination forms for BA/BSc.
