HYDERABAD, Jan 13: Hyderabad Institute of Arts, Science and Technology organized a seminar on information technology for doctors here on Sunday which was attended by a large number of doctors.
The speakers told the seminar that information technology had made an enormous breakthrough in the field of medical science and it provided the latest information about diseases and their treatment.
The speakers said that in today’s information age, no person could be termed literate unless he could apply information technology in his daily work. They said it was all the more important for doctors who had to deal with human lives.
They said that without a know-how of information technology and internet, the doctors might be deprived of latest information in the field of medicine.
The participants were informed about the special courses offered by the institute to doctors.
Dr Bhawani Shankar, a Phd in IT from England and the chairman of electrical and telecommunication department, Mehran University of Engineering and Technology, Prof Arshad Shaikh, and Mohammad Salman Talpur highlighted the usage of information technology in the field of medicine.
