KARACHI, Jan 4: The Karachi High school is holding a four-day International Schools Educational Olympiad, featuring different events to test and promote skills and talents of children from various backgrounds from Jan 8.

According to organisers, the Olympiad comprised debate competition, art competition, quiz, model display, turn-coat and cyber fair. Different teams from over 100 schools are participating in the Olympiad — 3rd in a series started in 2000.

The principal of Karachi High School, Parveen Kassim, who is also the chairman of ISEO, expressed the view that the active participation of students in the events indicated that Pakistani youth held the potential to achieve great milestones, provided they were given the opportunity to develop respect and self- confidence and to take on responsibilities and demonstrate fair play, kindness, courage and sportsmanship.
