Errors in new IDcards reported

By Our Correspondent

MINGORA, Dec 20: Complaints about errors in the new computerized national identity cards are pouring in, with the people criticizing the National Database and Registration Authority for its sloppy performance.

After months’ long effort, when the people got their cards made, many found them full of mistakes.

These cards were resubmitted for correction to the authority, but are yet to be returned even after lapse of many weeks, people told this correspondent.

The officials of the local registration offices say they had sent the cards to the authorities concerned for correction and do not know anything else, the people added.

The government employees are reported to be facing much difficulty for not having their cards, but they cannot use the NICs with mistakes either.

They have demanded of the Nadra officials to take notice of this problem and solve it.
