QUETTA, Dec 12: Former Taliban commanders have warned Spin Bolduk tribal administration to stop conducting unnecessary raids at the houses of Ulema and other people in search of Arab Mujahideen and Taliban in the Afghan border town immediately.
A meeting, which was attended by various former Taliban commanders and tribesmen, held in border town Chaman under the chairmanship of former Commander Mulla Sirajuddin.
The meeting took serious notice of the Spin Bolduk situation and said that if conducting of such raids were not stopped by concerned tribal authorities then former Taliban who also belong to different tribes would strongly react and would not hesitate to fight against new administration of Spin Boldak.
“Stop conducting raids at the house of Ulema and other tribesmen in the search of Taliban’s weapons and Arab Mujahideen in Spin Boldak,” the meeting warned adding that despite surrendering Taliban would protect their people including Ulema.
Sources said that after the meeting a massage was sent to the Spin Boldak administrative head Akhtar Jan asking him to stop this campaign without any further delay.
It may be recalled here that the Spin Boldak administration has launched a campaign for the recovery of weapons and arrest of non-Afghan Mujahideen on the directives of Interim Afghan Prime Minister Hamid Karzai and Governor Kandahar Gul Agha.
