Published December 1, 2001

SIALKOT, Nov 30: Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaaf chairman Imran Khan has said that the party will launch an election campaign from January 2002 by holding conventions all over the country.

Talking to newsmen here on Friday, he said his party would fully participate in the forthcoming general elections.

He did not rule out an electoral alliance with other political parties, excluding the PPP and the PML.

Mr Khan said both Nawaz Sharif and Benazir Bhutto plundered national exchequer and, therefore, have lost credibility.

The PTI chief said people were willing to elect honest leadership.

GAS SUSPENSION: The gas supply remained suspended for eight hours from 7am to 3pm in Sialkot on Friday.

A large number of people gathered outside the SNGPL offices and raised slogans against the high authorities.
