Junior karate meet starts

LAHORE, Nov 12: The two-day Quaid-i-Azam All Punjab junior karate championship for boys and girls concluded at the Children Complex Monday.

About three hundred under-16 boys and girls karatekas from all over the country took part in the event.

Following are the results:

Girls (individual): 

25 kgs: Rabia Yaseen (Kyokushin Headquarter—- K.H), Zunaira (Punjab), Lareb (NWFP).

35 kgs: Aysha (KH), Vajeha Yasin (KH), Hina Imtiaz (LEP School).

40 kgs: Asma Qureshi (Laselle School), Rabia Yousaf (Islamia College), Qandeel (Knowledge School).

45 kgs: 1. Noshi (Knowledge School), Zarmina (KH), Numra (Punjab).

50 kgs: Khushbakhat  (KH), Khadija Khan (Garrison School), Kanwal Ilyas (LCP).

Above 50 kgs: Kiran Zubair (KH), Sana Rizaq (Punjab), Aini Fatima (Garrison). Group kata (girls): 1. KH, 2. Punjab, 3. Garrison School. Individual kata (girls): 1. Punjab. 2. KH, 3. LCP School.

Boys:

20 kgs: Azeem Yasin (KH), Tayyab Yasin (Punjab), Wasif (KH).

25 kgs: Razi Zaidi (KH), Misbah (Punjab), Saad Ali (Al-Faisal).

30 kgs: 1. Asad Ali (KH), Sulman Ahmad (M.C School), Ali Naqvi (Punjab) and Waqar (Quetta) joint.

35 kgs: Khurram (KH), Mohammad Aslam (Knowledge School), Qasim (Lahore).

40 kgs: Kashif (Sialkot), Rohail (Scholars College), Rashad (NWFP).

45 kgs: Mohammad Ali (KH), Asif Ali (Faisalabad), Anjam (Lahore).

50 kgs: Waqas(Sialkot), Usman (MC), Rasheed (Faisalabad).
