KARACHI: Women’s rally condemns bombing

By Our Staff Reporter

KARACHI, Nov 11: A women’s rally organized here by the Mohajir Qaumi Movement on Sunday condemned the US for its bombing of Afghanistan.

Speaking at the rally, which was held at the RCD ground in Malir, MQM chairman Afaq Ahmed said women expressed solidarity with the women of Afghanistan, and claimed that the gathering was the first of its kind by any political party in the country after the US attack on Afghanistan.

“The rulers have stabbed Muslims in the back by providing the country’s soil to the aggressors for military operation against Afghanistan,” he said.

He warned that the US would target other Muslim and Arab countries after Afghanistan.

Others who spoke at the rally were the party secretary-general, Amir Khan, and the joint secretary, Iqbal Qureshi.
