ISLAMABAD, Nov 9: Army and Navy qualified for the finals of all seven events on the first day of the 23rd National Rowing Championship at the Rawal Lake.

As many as 31 races were contested in seven events which included single sculls, double sculls, coxless pair, coxless four, lightweight single scull, lightweight double scull and lightweight coxless four.

Besides Army and Navy, the other teams competing in the two-day championship are Police, Railways, Wapda, UGC, Sindh, Punjab and Karachi Boat Club.

Army Sports Directorate is organising the championship in collaboration with the Pakistan Rowing Federation.
