Sukkur jail official recovered

SUKKUR, Oct 30: Jailer of the Central Jail, Sukkur-2, Asghar Ghauri, was recovered by after an encounter near the outskirt of Sukkur in the jurisdiction of Bagarji police station on Tuesday evening. According to details Sukkur police received an information that the dacoits who had kidnapped the jailer were hiding in Saeedabad near Sukkur. The police party raided the hideouts of the kidnappers and an encounter took place. The dacoits, however, fled in a car leaving behind the jail official in an injured condition with severe torture marks on his body.

The police sources said he was still in state of fear and was not able to tell the cause of kidnapping.

However, police officers said that they had identified the kidnappers who would soon be netted in.

Till filing of this report a police party was chasing the kidnappers.
