No more kamikaze attacks by Al Qaeda

TEHRAN, Oct 21: There will be no kamikaze attacks by Al Qaeda terrorist cells against any country, the security chief of the ruling Afghan Taliban said in an interview published on Sunday.

Osama bin Laden and Taliban leader Mulla Mohammad Omar had reached an agreement not to undertake any kamikaze attacks against any country but instead focus on fighting US forces in Afghanistan, Qari Ahmadollah told Tehran daily Entekhab.

The US started military strikes against Afghanistan two weeks ago after the Taliban refused to extradite Islamic militant Osama Laden, who is wanted in the US on charges of being behind the September 11 airliner suicide bombings in Washington and New York.—dpa
