Girl gunned down

By Our Correspondent

DERA ISMAIL KHAN, Oct 20: A young girl was gunned down by two unidentified cattle thieves at village Kot Jai near Paharpur on Friday night.

Asiya Bibi, her father Malik Wadha and brother Sibtain, were sleeping in a room of their house when they heard some noise outside. Malik Wadha opened the door and saw that an unidentified thief was taking out a buffalo from the herd, while an armed man was providing him a cover.

When thieves saw them, they opened fire. A bullet hit Asiya in the face, killing her on the spot. The killers fled after the incident. The Paharpur police have registered a case in this connection.
