HYDERABAD, Oct 20: Zila Nazim of Hyderabad, Makhdoom Rafiquzzaman, here on Friday presided over a meeting to review the progress of on-going schemes of roads being executed at a cost of Rs40 million.
The meeting also resolved to propose new schemes of repairs and maintenance of roads and undertake new works which will approximately cost Rs50 million.
The meeting further discussed the abandoned schemes of schools which were initiated in Hyderabad district. It was decided to complete those schemes first where work had been started, while new schemes will be proposed at a later stage.
Makhdoom Rafiquzzaman said that new schemes for all talukas will be proposed and on-going schemes will be finalized soon. The meeting was attended by EDO (Finance), Abdul Qadir Mangi, EDO (works) Ghori, taluka Nazmeen of Hyderabad, Tando Allahyar and Tando Muhammad Khan.
SSP DELEGATION: A five-member delegation of Sipah-i-Sahaba, headed by Maulana Muhammad Saeed Jadoon and Muhammad Farooq Azad, called on the district Nazim of Hyderabad, Makhdoom Rafiquzzaman, in his office here on Friday.
They discussed the incidents that took place during the last strike and other matters.
The Zila Nazim said that Islam is the religion of peace, tolerance and brotherhood. The delegation also apprised he Zila Nazim about arrangements being made for Sipah-i-Sahaba Conference at Tando Allahyar.
EXHIBITION: Director of Animal Husbandry, Sindh, has announced here on Friday that the department will fully participate in Agro-Industrial Exhibition at the annual Urs of Hazrat Qalandar Lal Shahbaz by installing a stall at Sehwan Sharif, which is going to be held from November 5 to 7.
He has advised the livestock owners to bring their cattle to the show on the eve of the Urs of Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalandar at Sehwan Sharif. He announced that the best livestock owners will be given awards.
BISE: The Controller of Examinations, Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Hyderabad, has notified that in pursuance of directives received from the commanding officer of the special monitoring team-4, Hyderabad, no incomplete examination forms of any candidate from any school will be accepted.
All incomplete forms, the controller warned, will be summarily rejected without issuing any letter. All the heads of the institutions have been advised to check and verify personally that examination forms forwarded by them are complete in all respects and bear photographs, signatures of the candidates and signatures of the Head of institution to avoid inconvenience to the candidates.
