KARACHI, Oct 20: The progress made in respect of the annual development programmes of Sindh Health Department was reviewed at a meeting held under the chairmanship of Provincial Health Minister, Maj-Gen (Retd) Ahsan Ahmed here on Saturday.
The Additional Health Secretary (Development) presented a detailed review of various development schemes.
The minister expressed dissatisfaction over the slow utilization of budget and cautioned the concerned authorities to gear up the implementation of ADP schemes.
He called for personal level liaison with the Finance Department and A.G. Sindh for removal of all bottlenecks which may be encountered in the way.
Ahsan Ahmed directed that PC-1 in respect of new schemes be completed within two weeks.
He directed that a committee, to be headed by DG Health, Fateh Muhammed, be formed to review all such projects being executed with foreign aid. The committee will identify irregularities in these projects and submit proposals for their removal.
The health minister asked the committee to submit its report by Dec 1.—APP
