ISLAMABAD, June 18: Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali on Friday directed law-enforcement and intelligence agencies to adopt a proactive approach aimed at preventing terrorist activities rather than reacting to such incidents.

"We are facing a different situation. The nature of crime has changed and we are faced with terrorism too. It is altogether a different situation," said the premier. Meanwhile, Minister for Housing and Works Syed Safwanullah and Minister for Communications Babar Khan Ghauri jointly called on Mr Jamali at the prime minister's secretariat.
