KARACHI, Feb 16: Opening reception of the exhibition “Life Journeys” by Tara Sabarwal an artist from New York opens at V.M. Art gallery on Saturday, February 17, at 6pm.

The lure for exploration guides her in life and in art. In her art practice, she reaches outwards, with hope, into new territories as she cross passages of extreme beauty and borders of terrifying darkness.

Life has taken her from her birthplace, Delhi to many new places, homes and identities. The experience has been enriching, it resonates in her work and has enabled her to build bridges between boundaries.

The works on paper that she will be showing at the gallery are remembered moments from a journey of outward and inner explorations.

The images she uses of homes, ladders, windows, roots, winding paths, rain and container are open-ended symbols. They invite you to make your own interpretations, and reflect.

The exhibition will continue will till March 3rd daily from 10.30am to 7.30pm, except Sunday.
