ISLAMABAD, Jan 27: The academic council of the National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences has stressed the need to enhance the research profile of the university and improve the quality of education at all its campuses in Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad and Peshawar.

In a meeting the council here on Saturday approved the academic calendar for the next year and also reviewed courses and syllabus both for undergraduate and graduate degree programmes in the light of criteria set by Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) and Higher Education Commission (HEC).

Rector of the university Dr Amir Mohammad presided over the meeting.—Our Reporter
