Three killed as grenade goes off in Lakki house

LAKKI MARWAT: Three people, including a woman and a child, were killed and as many children were injured in a grenade explosion in the Behramkhel area here on Wednesday.

Officials said the explosion occurred inside a house. They said the house owner, Rasheed Khan, his sister-in-law and a child were killed.

The bodies and the injured were shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital, Tajazai.

A police contingent collected evidence from the blast site and registered a case.

Separately, a young woman lost her life after a bullet allegedly fired by her brother hit her in the Qazi Dheri area of Serai Naurang town on Wednesday.

Police said Mudassir Khan fired at his father, Aslam Khan, 55, over a property dispute, but the bullet hit his sister, Nabeela, killing her on the spot.

The officials said that the body was shifted to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital for postmortem.

The Shaheed Asmatullah Khan Khattak police initiated an investigation after registering a case against the accused.

Meanwhile, the district administration sealed five diesel and three fertiliser outlets on Wednesday.

During a visit to bazaars, Assistant Commissioner Gohar Ali Khan found owners of various diesel and fertiliser outlets violating relevant laws.
