Lego One Piece special gets teaser
Netflix has released the first teaser for Lego One Piece, a two-part animated special that retells the live-action series’ first two seasons in Lego form. Narrated by Usopp, the story sees him recounting the Straw Hat crew’s adventures to Tony Tony Chopper, bringing a humorous new twist to the journey. The live-action cast, including Iñaki Godoy, Emily Rudd, Mackenyu, Taz Skylar and Jacob Romero, return to voice their characters. Written by Tom Hyndman, the special premieres on Sept. 29. Netflix is also developing One Piece Season 3 and The One Piece, a new anime adaptation of Eiichiro Oda’s manga.
Matt Damon praises stunt double
Canadian stunt performer Devyn Dalton has gained widespread attention after Matt Damon praised her work as his stunt double in The Odyssey. Standing 4 feet 6 inches tall, Dalton was chosen to double Damon during a forced-perspective scene, helping create the illusion of towering giants using practical effects. Damon later described her as having “the greatest arms” he had ever seen, bringing unexpected recognition to her years of behind-the-scenes work. A former child actor and motion-capture performer, Dalton said the role was the result of years of training and determination, adding that she hopes her story inspires others to believe that strength comes in all shapes and sizes.
Tyla gets her own Bratz doll
South African singer Tyla has become the latest celebrity to receive her own collectible Bratz doll. Inspired by her memorable 2024 Met Gala look, the doll recreates her custom Balmain gown and features her signature braided hairstyle, beauty mark, a mini TYLA album vinyl and a tiger accessory. Tyla, who had previously said she hoped to have her own Bratz doll, called the collaboration “a moment I’ll never forget.” The collectible launched on July 27, priced at $75, and is available through Bratz’s official website.
