The deceased was identified as Israrullah.

According to sources, he was abducted from his hujra by unidentified armed men on May 27 after being accused of working for state institutions.

Local sources said that the body bearing multiple bullet wounds was recovered near Qismatabad Chowk.

Meanwhile, the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Bannu, released a revised date sheet for the intermediate annual examinations 2026.

A notification issued by the controller of examinations stated that the revision was made in the wake of recent rainfall and unforeseen circumstances that caused difficulties for students in reaching the examination centres.

On June 3, examinations for biology, computer science, and geography will be conducted, while on June 4, papers for compulsory Urdu and Pakistani culture will be held.

Similarly, the evening session papers will run from 2pm to 5pm. On June 2, papers for advanced Urdu, advanced English, Arabic, Persian, Pashto, and statistics will be conducted.

On June 3, students will appear in psychology and food & nutrition papers, while on June 4, examinations for education, library science, and home management will be held.

The board authorities advised students to follow the revised schedule and ensure they reach their examination centres on time.
