PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Control, Syed Fakhar Jehan, spent Eidul Azha among prisoners, patients, orphaned children and the public during visits to various institutions in Buner, reflecting the spirit of compassion, public service and social responsibility on the festive occasion.
The minister visited District Jail Daggar, Buner, where he met inmates, exchanged Eid greetings with them and shared moments of joy.
On the occasion, Mr Jehan also inquired about issues relating to facilities and welfare of the prisoners.
Later, the minister visited District Headquarters Hospital, Daggar, and enquired after patients undergoing treatment in different wards.
He met patients and their attendants, asked about the medical facilities being provided to them and conveyed Eid greetings.
Mr Jehan also directed the hospital administration and medical staff to ensure timely and better healthcare facilities for patients.
The minister also visited Aman Kor, where he spent time with orphaned children and shared Eid greetings with them.
The children expressed happiness and affection during their interaction with the minister.
Buner Deputy Commissioner Shehryar Qamar, District Police Officer Ateeq Shah, Daggar Assistant Commissioner Dr Hira Ahsan, medical superintendent Dr Farooq Sayar, and other officials were also present.
Meanwhile, on Eid days, a large number of delegations, local elders, party workers and people from different walks of life visited the residence of Mr Jehan to extend Eid greetings to him.
