Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has reported that 24 ships have crossed the Strait of Hormuz in coordination with Iranian authorities over the past 24 hours, Al Jazeera reports.

In a statement carried by Iran’s Fars news agency, the IRGC navy said it is allowing a limited number of ships to cross the strategic waterway via designated routes each day to “avoid congestion”.
