Pakistani scales 3rd highest peak
GILGIT: Pakistani climber Sohail Sakhi from Hunza successfully summited Kanchenjunga (8,586m), the world’s 3rd highest mountain, in Nepal as part of the rope-fixing team.
According to a statement, he reached the summit on Wednesday at 12:12am Nepali time.
Mr Sakhi has already scaled K2, Nanga Parbat, Gasherbrum I, and Gasherbrum II without supplemental oxygen, establishing himself among the country’s strongest high-altitude climbers.
