Pakistan outplay Nepal in ITF Asia U-12 event

ISLAMABAD: Pakis­tan in an impressive performance outclassed hosts Nepal 3-0 in the ITF Asia U-12 Team Competition South Asia.

According to an announcement made by the Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF) on Wed­nesday, the Pakistan boys team, placed in Group ‘B’ alongside Nepal and the Maldives, delivered a commanding performance to secure their second consecutive win in the tournament.

In the singles matches, Mohammad Aayan led the charge with a 6-2, 6-0 win over Karki Savya Jung before Mohammad Ibraheem Hussain Gill outclassed Malla Aarit 6-2, 6-1 to make it 2-0.

Then the pair of of Ibraheem and Mohammad Faizan routed Karki Savya Jung and Basnyet Sahansh 6-2, 6-1 in their doubles match to complete a clean sweep.

Meanwhile, Pakistan’s girls are competing in Group ‘A’, which also includes the Maldives, Nepal, Sri Lanka and India.
