US President Trump has again taken aim at Nato while speaking to the media at Joint Base Andrews in Maryland.

“I’m very disappointed in Nato … they weren’t there for us,” he said. “We pay trillions of dollars for Nato and they weren’t there for us.”

He added that the organisation’s lack of support would be “under very serious examination”.
