QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti has said that quality education, character-building and comprehensive training provide the strong foundation on which the future of nations is built, adding that military cadet colleges are playing an effective role in achieving this national objective.

Speaking at the annual Parents’ Day ceremony at Military College, Sui, the chief minister said that such institutions not only impart top quality education to the youth of Balochistan, but also equip them with practical training, military traditions and positive values.

He said cadets are being trained in discipline, leadership, patriotism and a strong sense of national responsibility alongside academic excellence.

Paying tribute to parents, the chief minister said their guidance, hard work and sacrifices are fundamental to the educational and moral success of their children.

He added that events such as Parents’ Day further strengthen trust and coordination between parents and educational institutions.

Commending the cadets for their outstanding performance in academics, discipline and co-curricular activities, Mr Bugti said the youth of Balochistan possess immense potential which, if provided with the right direction and a conducive environment, can be transformed into a valuable national asset.

He said the provincial government considers education, training and personality development of the youth its top priority and it is taking concrete and practical measures to further strengthen institutions like Military College, Sui.

Emphasising the importance of modern educational facilities, sports opportunities and basic infrastructure for the holistic development of students, the chief minister announced that laptops would be provided to second-year students of the college.

He further announced the solarisation of the college, construction and rehabilitation of internal roads, establishment of an outdoor sports complex, and construction of a new parade ground.

Earlier, Commandant of Military College of Sui, Brigadier Muhammad Aamir Ejaz, briefed the chief minister on the overall performance of the college, its academic standards and future development plans, and thanked the provincial government for its support.
