KARACHI: Dr Umair Haroon, television producer and director, has been elected as a member of the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (IATAS).

He is currently the only Pakistani serving on the Academy, the organisation behind the prestigious International Emmy Awards.

With a career spanning more than 200 documentaries and television projects, Dr Haroon is known for science-based and investigative storytelling.
