KARACHI: Seasoned journalist Zubeida Mustafa, who passed away in Karachi on Wednesday, was laid to rest here in a local graveyard on Friday afternoon.

The funeral prayers for the late journalist were offered at Masjid-i-Yasrab, Phase-IV, Defence Housing Authority, after Juma prayer. A large number of journalists, her relatives and friends and locals attended the funeral prayers. Soyem will be held on Sunday (tomorrow) at Imambargah Yasrab at about 1:30 pm.

The 84-year-old journalist was a former op-ed editor and a longtime columnist at Dawn.
